Merced Capital is an investment firm founded in 1988 by the team responsible for developing Cargill's Financial Markets Department. The firm is built upon a permanent capital foundation and has pursued a patient, trustworthy, and collaborative strategy to preserve and grow capital for over 35 years.

JOEL ANDERSON

Joel joined Merced Capital in 1998 and has previous experience at Eagle Capital Management. He earned a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
STEVEN DRISCOLL
investment team
Steven joined Merced Capital in 2023 and has previous experience at Houlihan Lokey, Goldman Sachs, and KPMG. He earned a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business.
JOE McELROY
managing partner
Joe joined Merced Capital in 2015 and has previous experience at CarVal, Norwest Equity Partners, Merrill Lynch, and Robert W. Baird. Education: BA in Finance, Investment, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from Harvard University.
LUKE SCHAAN
investment team
Luke joined Merced Capital in 2002. He earned a BSB in Finance from the University of Minnesota.
ERIC WERWIE

Eric joined Merced Capital in 2004. He earned a BA in Finance, Investment, and Banking from the University of Wisconsin.
